Terms & Conditions
By making a booking through our website you are agreeing to these terms and conditions
i. Check in is between 2-5pm on the day of arrival and then from 7pm onwards; however you are welcome to drop off any luggage in the morning by prior arrangement.
ii. Please check in at the main Stableside reception where you will be greeted and registered with keys.
iii. Car & coach parking is available free of charge onsite. Please observe all traffic and speed restrictions.
iv. Departing guests must remove all their belongings from their room, and check out, before 11am. After this time guests may make use of the luggage storage facilities but all possessions must be removed from the room and the room key handed back to reception. Late check-outs will incur a charge of an additional night.
v. All rates are inclusive of VAT at the standard rate.
vi. All rooms and rates are subject to availability.
School and Student & Groups Bookings
i. For group and school and student bookings please contact us directly on 01904 709174 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
ii. A group is classified as more than 8 persons and cannot be reserved online.
iii. Different terms and conditions will apply and you will be advised of these at the time of booking or enquiry.
i. All bookings (i.e. telephone, email, or walk-ins), we will require valid credit card details when making your reservation. This will guarantee your booking.
ii. If your booking is being paid for with a third party credit card we will require written authorisation to be provided by the card-holder.
iii. All payments must be made in Pound Sterling.
iv. We offer no credit facilities. All payments must be paid in accordance with the conditions.
v. If any payment under these terms and conditions are not met, then without prejudice to our other rights we may cancel your booking; and/or we may suspend the supply and/or deliveries of any other services provided to you by us. We will however informyou in writing prior to any such action.
Advanced Purchased Bookings
i. Full payment is required at time of booking. The Hostel will charge your card shortly after the reservation is made. Only when full payment is received is the reservation guaranteed. Advance purchase bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
School and Student & Group Bookings
i. A £10 non-refundable deposit per person is required on booking.
ii. Full Payment must be received 2 weeks prior to arrival. If a booking is made with less than 2 weeks to arrival the full balance will be due immediately.
iii. Different terms & conditions apply to groups, contact the hostel for more details.
i. All cancellations must be made no later than 2 weeks prior to arrival. If a booking has been made where arrival is less than 2 weeks than no cancellation will be accepted.
ii. All notifications to cancel must be made by 1pm, 2 weeks prior to arrival. Failure to cancel within this time will result in a
cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay, and all subsequent nights, if any, will be cancelled.
iii. Any amendments to your bookings must be made at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. We will try and accommodate your amendments subject to availability.
iv. Cancellations are required to be in writing, in the form of an email to: email@example.com
v. Early departures are not eligible for refund under any circumstances.
Advanced Purchased Bookings
i. Advance purchase bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable and cannot be cancelled.
School and Student & Group Bookings
i. A non-refundable deposit of £10 per person is due upon booking.
ii. Full payment must be received 2 weeks prior to arrival. There will be no refunds or cancellations after this point.
Age Restriction & Room Allocation
i. Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under the age of 18 unless they are accompanied by an adult (over 18) who is staying in the same room.
ii.Families with children under the age of 16yrs are welcome, however our drop down bunks are unsuitable for children under the age of 6 nor any adult who weighs more than 75kg.
iii. At Stableside we take great care to allocate rooms in a way which we think will be best for each customers booking. Please note that when making your booking online if you have any particular requests you contact us following your booking on firstname.lastname@example.org
iv. Groups may have to share facilities with others. Rooms in the main building have private toilet and wash basin, with separate shower cubicles. The first floor rooms, including recreation room do not have lift access. Rooms in the annexe building have private wash basin only with separate shower facilities and toilet cubicles. Your room location will be confirmed at the time of booking.
V. Rooms may be on the first floor of the main building. There is no lift access to this floor.
i. The comfort, safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be requested to leave the hostel premises and will not be offered a refund.
ii. We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hostel’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.
iii.We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.
iv. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Stableside buildings. Any guest found smoking within the building will be charged a fee of £200.00 in order to cover the extensive cost of restoring the room to a smoke-free condition. Further failure to comply will result in the guest(s) being asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund.
v. All non-paying guests are prohibited from guest bedrooms at all times.
i. It is the guest's responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times.
ii. Stableside York accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage to property however sustained or caused.
i.Stableside York shall only store and use information you supply to us or which is supplied to us for the purposes of carrying out our contract with you and to inform you of other services and offers which we make available from time to time. Oversights & Errors
i. Any oversights or errors in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.
i. All bookings are subject to availability and Stableside York reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
